She has been bullied all her life, yet no one stepped up to defend her.
Bullying is an increasing problem that is too often ignored and pushed apart by society.
Suicide is the third leading cause of death among young people, resulting in about 4,400 deaths per year, according to the CDC. For every suicide among young people, there are at least 100 suicide attempts. Over 14 percent of high school students have reflected upon suicide, and almost 7 percent have attempted it.
Unfortunately, many teachers and parents turn a blind eye. Instead of protecting and saving the victims, they choose to protect the bullies and perpetrators as they are still young.
This kind of outlook has left many victims in the dark, encouraging them to take their own lives after seeing no hope.
Cassidy Trevan from Melbourne, Australia knew how hopeless being a victim could be and decided to take her own life.
